The server was receiving all the posted files and even when my server was not able to handle the large files in the post requests, the app behaved normally and successfully sent the files. I would like to add that the dummy files contained some random data, but that should not be an issue. I no longer have this issue in 7. We did a lot of underlying improvements to address this bit-by-bit. The latest app should have everything that sets the right expectation. First time I was not able to get the file because of limitation: 'Response size too large'. After I selected 'Sent and Download'. Than selecting place and file name, meantime after about seconds the Postman screen became black.
Update: Even more, I have increased file size limit to Mb, I successfully performed post request but when I was saving the file - Postman application became black. Trying to post I pasted the contents into the message window. The screen went to black.

The request works in Chrome, as well as in Insomnia. Yes, it hangs still on windows. I think the issue must still exist as I am getting the same behaviour. It displays some of the data retrieved from the endpoint and then the postman panel just goes white and locks up.

HeliosLHD same here. It takes up to 10 secs to process 1Mb response response time itself is ms , and it never ends 30 mins still waiting I think that there should be an option to just hide the file content and not process it, a manually settable length for such would be best.
I vote for a smaller preview option or one to entirely hide it, for very large responses.
